WTIA’s Apprenti program lands $23.5M grant from Dept. of Commerce to expand tech training program – GeekWire

The Apprenti apprenticeship system operate by the Washington Technology Business Affiliation (WTIA) was awarded a $23.5 million grant to aid teach additional tech employees throughout 11 states.

The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Commerce and is portion of the $500 million Great Positions Obstacle funded by the American Rescue Approach. Apprenti, also recognised as the WTIA Workforce Institute, was among 32 tasks nationwide to be awarded a grant out of more than 500 purposes.

Introduced in September 2016, Apprenti offers absolutely free education and apprenticeships for candidates hunting to operate in the tech sector.
