In the last 11 years, iPads have become the poster child for the tablet section of technology gadgets. iPads have been one of the most important products developed by the Apple company. To a reasonable extent, you could say there is not a single product in the tablet section which is worthy enough to be compared to the iPad.

Now, what makes them so special? iPads are special for multitasking purposes. Multitasking is extremely seamless and intuitive when it comes to an iPad. Features like Slide Over and Split View makes working with different apps at the same time so good. With an external keyboard and mouse, you could say iPads are almost close to having our own computer which is easily portable and functional.

History of iPad

From its first launch in 2010, iPads has had so many generations among its different types of devices. Also, we have different storage capacities for each and every model. We will see all of those details in this article below.

Now, the major two types of iPads are WiFi and WiFi+cellular. The latter one basically allows you to use the iPad as a phone which in my opinion is not a smart way to use an iPad because its defies the actual purpose of what its built for.

How to check iPad Model Number?

Please follow the steps below to check iPad Model number.

  1. Go to the Settings app.
  2. Select General
  3. Choose About under the General section.

Please make sure you have iPadOS 15 because the steps might be different if you have an earlier version of iPadOS.
